Seminars

The Institute of Communication and Public Policy regularly holds research seminars and lectures for students and colleagues based here at USI and elsewhere. Below, you can find more information about our upcoming events, delivered online as part of the RISIS Seminar Series and on-campus/in a hybrid format as part of the ICPP Research Seminar Series.

RISIS Seminar Series

The RISIS research seminar series is meant to present new research work on Science, Technology and Higher Education using some of the RISIS datasets, including European Tertiary Education Register data.

Seminars take place online and include a presentation, comments by a discussant, and open discussion with the audience. The seminars are particularly meant for papers in the preparation and submission stage, where comments might be particularly helpful. Registration is required.

ICPP Research Seminar Series

The ICPP Seminar Series bring together international scholars working on topics relevant to public policy and communication in a global context. Participants comprise eminent external speakers alongside faculty from the Institute of Communication and Public Policy at USI.

The series allows the faculty, researchers and PhD students to participate in an academic community of interest, showcase the faculty's research, encounter multi- and interdisciplinary approaches and engage in discussions about a range of public policy and communication issues.

The seminars are open to all staff and students from the Faculty of Communication, Culture and Society, and - when held in a hybrid format - to a wider community. Registration is required for most seminars.
