Mutual Learning for Change: Practitioners, researchers, and academics from over 65 countries joined the 2025 SSPH+ Lugano Summer School in Public Health Policy, Economics, and Management
Institute of Communication and Public Policy
Mutual learning for change is the core mission of the SSPH+ Lugano Summer School in Public Health Policy, Economics, and Management (LSS). For 34 years, we’ve brought together practitioners, researchers, and students from around the world — in Lugano, online, and through local Learning Hubs — for a unique and collaborative learning experience.
The 34th edition, held from 18–23 August 2025, welcomed 226 participants from 65 countries and 45 facilitators from five continents. Over the course of the week, participants took part in 13 interactive courses, 2 thought-provoking plenary sessions, a workshop, and various networking events. Participants had the opportunity to connect across borders, share ideas and projects, learn from each other, and co-create practical solutions to today’s pressing public health challenges. Explore the 2025 programme here.
Participants valued the inspiring learning environment, the creativity of the teaching methods, and the chance to build lasting global connections.
As we wrap up this fantastic edition, we’re already looking ahead to next year. Save the date for the 35th edition, taking place 17–22 August 2026, both onsite in Lugano and online. Programme updates will be shared in the coming months, and registration opens in January 2026.
